Our community of database researchers is constantly expanding and the database team is always looking for knowledgeable football supporters who would like to join our community. We have about 20 researchers scouting and evaluating players just from the Spanish leagues. Currently there are approximately 500 editors from Sweden, Argentina, Germany, Turkey, Czech Republic, Mexico, Switzerland, Scotland, South Africa, etc. As a team we then review all of the player ratings to make sure player attributes are as authentic and realistic as possible.Įvery team and league in FIFA 08 is represented by at least one football expert working for EA SPORTS. They also rely on television, internet, magazines and newspapers for information. Our database researchers watch live football games to evaluate and rate the skills and abilities of each player. The majority of the data is entered by these experts living in these countries.
The FIFA 08 database team is based in Vancouver, Canada where the FIFA franchise is developed for EA SPORTS but we have a community of database researchers stationed all over the world. They are also critic with the "fantasista" mode (or whatever it's called, right now I can't remember) as the AI is terrible and they won't pass the ball for most of the time.

GOALKEEPERS: They seem to have evident flaws and let easy balls in, or simply move to the wrongs positions now and again.ĪNIMATION: They simply state they are ridiculous for next gen and make the game be a bad cover of PS2 in HD version.ĬOLLISIONS / BALL PHYSICS: They state they have changed slightly but continue to be below standards in nowaday gaming, specially collisions between players. New control introduced for moving the player without the ball seems to add nothing to the game. As you can't do things manually, CPU decides things for you, and it seems it's again a random process at times. Wings are always desserted again, a lot of traffic in the center of the pitch that makes a ping pong effect far from the build up pace of real football.ĬONTROLS: They illustrate with some examples the absolute lack of depth of the control. Even subtle things like running around with a player while the game loads, it's miles ahead of PES in presentation and it looks like it will be in every other department this year. By the looks of FIFA 09 they have improved all the key things that I considered negatives and in my opinion it looks like it could be the best football game released in a very long time. I still don't think FIFA 08 was as good as most people raved about, I just think it looked much better than it actually was because PES08 was so poor. Then with the next version they fix that mistake and that's about the only thing they do with it, then the next year they mess it up again, and so on. They release a great football game, then make slight tweaks to the next version only to find that it was too quick or too slow, or the referee was giving to many fouls. I'm just fed up with the formula KONAMi use with PES. However how is this game going to be any better than PES6 for 360? It might have more stadiums and updated teams, but it's virtually going to be the same again by the looks of the videos I've seen. Also looks slower than 08, like I said I think they have improved upon PES08. I don't think the players are running as goofy as they did in PES08.
